Bank statement → spreadsheet

Convert a bank statement PDF to CSV or Excel.

Drop the PDF your bank gave you. Get a clean table of transactions — date, description, amount, balance — ready for your books, accounting imports, or tax prep.

How it works

Three steps. No manual cleanup.

01

Drop the PDF

The text-based statement your bank lets you download — Chase, Barclays, Monzo, any of them. Scans are detected and declined.

02

Check the preview

Columns are detected automatically. If one lands wrong, adjust the mapping once — it's remembered for that bank's layout.

03

Download

CSV or .xlsx, ready for Excel, Numbers, or your accounting import. Free export covers the first 15 transactions.

Private by design

Your statement never leaves this page.

Online converters ask you to upload the one document that lists everywhere your money goes. StatementGrid takes the opposite approach: the parser comes to the file, not the other way around.

✓
Parsed in the browser

pdf.js reads the file locally. It is never sent to a server — there is no upload to intercept.

✓
No account, no cookies

Nothing to sign into. Measurement is anonymous daily counters, not third-party analytics.

✓
Works offline

Load the page once, disconnect, keep converting. That is the whole proof.

✓
Nothing to delete

Close the tab and every trace of your statement is gone with it.

Output

What the CSV looks like

Four columns, ready to open in Excel or import anywhere.date is ISO where the statement shows a year;amount is signed — money in positive, money out negative;balance appears when the statement carries a running balance. Debit/credit column pairs fold into the signed amount.

Supported banks

Any bank's text PDF. These just have notes.

Conversion is generic — it reads the column layout, not a per-bank template, so the same converter works for any bank. For the banks below we keep short notes on the layouts we see most.

Known limitation

Scanned & photographed PDFs

Statements that are images without a text layer can't be parsed — the tool detects this and says so instead of producing garbage. To get a text PDF, download the statement again from online banking (look for "e-statement" or "Download PDF"), rather than scanning a paper copy.
